Autumn is a beautiful season that highlights the most stunning landscapes of Quebec. It's also the perfect time to visit or revisit the regions of the province! With this idea in mind, we have prepared a list of activity ideas and places to visit to make the most of the Thanksgiving long weekend and the landscapes of the Eastern Townships!
We start the day with a delicious coffee at Fitch Bay Café, located in Magog. The coffee is roasted on-site, and the place is stunning! Take the opportunity to bring home a bag of coffee (or several 😉) as well!
Next, we head to L'Atelier du Pain for breakfast! This bakery offers a wide selection of pastries and freshly baked bread every morning. You'll also find a small grocery corner where you can purchase various local products.
After breakfast, we'll digest while taking a stroll in the trails of the Marais de la rivière aux cerises. You'll have the chance to observe a bucolic landscape, the magnificent autumn colors, and some animal species! You'll also find an interpretation center where you can learn more about the marsh, its fauna, and flora. For lunch, we'll meet at Bistro Kóz, a restaurant with Mediterranean flavors that offers meals for all tastes, including several vegetarian and vegan options. Plus, the bistro offers a breathtaking view of Lake Memphrémagog!
After lunch, come visit us at Bleu Lavande! Stock up on natural products for the home and body and take the opportunity to get our autumn essentials. You'll also have the chance to visit our Bleu Lavande Spaces, which include a lavender interpretation center and the immersive Champs Chromatiques experience. Of course, you can take a little walk in our fields if you feel like it. They may not be in bloom anymore, but we promise the visit is still worth it!
